Thomas played professional soccer internationally and nationally for various clubs in the German Bundesliga. In 1991 he won an East German Championship & East German Cup joining F.C. Hansa Rostock.Thomas played internationally for U18 team of GDR & European Club Level (UI CUP) for F.C. Hansa Rostock and Arminia Bielefeld. He started coaching in 2004 in Germany as assistant coach of F.C.Rot-Weiss-Erfurt Reserve Team. Currently Thomas is the head coach for Schwaben A.C. Thomas has also been playing soccer in the U.S. for 6 years. He won the Metropolitan League Championship in 2006 and joined the U.S. Open Cup final.
